Unknown CYD hardware

Identify the correct display setup before installing the RIFE firmware.

No technical knowledge is needed. Install the tester, watch the screen, skip bad profiles, and save the first profile that is completely correct.

Do not choose by USB socket or seller listing. Different screens can be fitted to boards that look identical.

Install the identifier

Connect the CYD using a USB data cable. Use desktop Chrome or Edge. Close Arduino IDE and every serial monitor first.

Use desktop Chrome or Edge. The page must be opened over HTTPS.

During installation: choose the ESP32 device, select erase, and wait for Finished.

Connect the tester controls

After installation and restart, reconnect here. The page reads the current profile and provides large remote-control buttons.

Only save when every check passes

The entire screen is stable and filled. The text is upright and not backwards. The screen says LANDSCAPE and is physically landscape. TL, TR, BL and BR are in the correct corners. RED, GREEN and BLUE match their labels. The checkerboard is clean with no repeated/noisy section.

Save remains available on the tester, but check every item first.

Saving stores the detected profile in the ESP32 and restarts the board. The identifier is a setup utility; install the full KM RIFE firmware afterwards.

This button appears after the tester reports a saved profile.
